Community Health Nurse II - Immunizations

As you may have noticed on our website, Jackson County is not only recruiting for this position, but is also simultaneously recruiting for a “Community Health Nurse I” at the same time within the Health and Human Services Department. The two titles of these recruitments are “Community Health Nurse I” and “Community Health Nurse II.” Please note, we will only be filling one position with the best candidate from each pool of qualified applicants. • Preferred experience providing routine vaccinations to infants, children, and adults. This includes preparing, administering and storing vaccines, and providing patient education on vaccinations.
• Preferred experience working for a local public health department.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Preferred knowledge on vaccine requirements, public health laws, and communicable disease.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred.
• This position is represented by union group SEIU.
