Jackson County Public Health is looking to hire an Alcohol and Drug Prevention and Education Program Coordinator (Program/Services Coordinator II). This position is responsible for developing evidence-based strategies to reduce substance abuse rates and improve population health outcomes.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of assignment, preferably supplemented by a master’s degree AND two years experience in program development, preferably in a planning capacity; OR
Any combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.
Preferences
Experience working in a public health agency.
Knowledgeable about public health policies, practices, and procedures, public health law, and roles and responsibilities
Experience and ability to plan, develop, organize, coordinate, and oversee large projects/small programs.
Experience implementing public health programs and facilitating projects, meetings, and coalition-based work.
Experience in alcohol and drug prevention and education programs or activities focused on population health.
