The Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Prevention Coordinator position collaborates with a dynamic team to implement Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) change strategies to advance health equity and promote healthy, resilient communities for all in Benton County. This includes assessment, program planning, community mobilizing, coalition building, and implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of prevention and PSE strategies. The position provides technical/program expertise to community coalitions and groups and coordinates collaborative prevention and PSE efforts; secures funding for programs, including developing grant applications and implementing and coordinating grant activities; creates, produces, and communicates community health assessment and community health improvement plans and all applicable reporting; participates in public health modernization and accreditation efforts.
