Correctional Medical Technician (EMT)

**RECRUITING TO FILL ONE (1) POSITION CONSISTING OF EITHER A CORRECTION MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT) OR A CORRECTIONAL LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN).**

ABOUT THE JOB

As a member of our Jail Medical Team you will be working to provide medical care within Polk County Jail. Typical duties include health education, performing physical exam, basic wound care, medication administration, maintaining inmate medical records and collaborating with jail and other health partner staff as needed. WORK SCHEDULE
Thursday through Saturday 1430-0300 (2:30pm to 3:00am)

MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Current Oregon EMT license. Two years’ experience as an EMT preferred. Emergency room or past correctional experience is desirable.; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a license to practice as an EMT in the State of Oregon at the time of appointment. Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oregon Driver’s license within 30 days of hire.  May need access to and use of a personal vehicle and maintain valid automobile insurance. Current CPR required.
